| Freshman |
| 1. Notify your mentor teacher of your intention. Usually done via Google Form sent via email. 2. Track your extra curricular activities. If your activity is “off campus,” with this verification form. Student must accumulate at least 80 hours by February of their graduating year. |
| Sophomore |

| Junior |
| 1. Track your extra curricular activities. If your activity is “off campus,” here is the verification form. Student must accumulate at least 80 hours by February of their graduating year. 2. By the end of the first quarter, submit your mentor/student agreement. 3. By the end of the second quarter, submit your Capstone Project Proposal. This is the proposal grading rubric. 4. Continued meetings during second semester to develop your project. |
| Senior |
| Deadline for final project is late February usually. 1. Submit your Final Proposal in your shared Google Drive Folder. 2. Add your transcript to that folder. 3. Ensure your mentor/student agreement is signed and uploaded. 3. Track your extra curricular activities. If your activity is “off campus,” here is the verification form. A total of 80 hours is needed by late February. 4. Meet with mentor and identify two other adult musicians or qualified evaluators who will grade your public performance/presentation. Include justification as to why they were selected. 5. Create and distribute a rubric to those evaluators for scoring and judging of your project. 6. Schedule and complete your Capstone Project and presentation. 7. Complete your Capstone Project Reflection. This is the grading rubric. Suggested essay prompt: What would you do differently? What went well? What would you change? What did you LEARN through this process? How did this help you become a better musician? What skills will you take with you after high school that can transfer to other areas of your life or future studies/career? 8. Finalize the portfolio to include all documents. Mentor will grade the portfolio. Ensure all items on the checklist are done. 9. All documents must be uploaded to Google Drive and via Google Form once complete. See email for specific link. 10. Portfolio will be returned to student as well as submitted to the district for approval. |
