We meet every Thursday after school (starting September 13th) from 2:30-3:30. We have a lot of fun and it’s not just the SPED kids that learn a lot. You learn so much from teaching another person to play an instrument. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at crystal.payne@gilbertschools.net We are required to have 3 orchestra mentors per 1 SPED student. It’s really important that we get 6 more mentors so that we can give these SPED students an opportunity to be in music. 🙂 We also have a lot of fun.
What is United Sound?
We’d love to have students who are interested. You don’t need to know ANYTHING about working with SPED students. You just need to have a willingness to help out, a kind heart, and a positive attitude! We will have training for all mentors this THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH from 2:30-3:30 PM.
