Important Strolling Strings 2nd Quarter Information

Parents & Students:

Welcome back! We have a lot of fun events planned for our Strolling Strings that will take place during 2nd quarter. Please take a look at the information below and mark your calendars accordingly. This will be the busiest quarter for our Strolling Strings members. I’ve taken the time to send out the memory quiz dates as well. Please encourage your child to practice at home since they will have a lot of music to memorize. Of course, we will work in class daily to learn and memorize all of their music.

Memory Quiz Dates and Performance/Gig Calendar/Set List for 2nd Quarter:

America the Beautiful-Monday, November 22nd (music will be passed out tomorrow)
Deck the Halls-Monday, October 29th
Frosty the Snowman-Monday, November 5th
Christmas Canon-Monday, November 12th
Holiday Salute-Monday, November 19th
White Christmas-In Regular Orchestra Classes, Monday December 3rd

Performances/Gigs:

Saturday, November 10th Veteran’s Day Performance for the Solera Ladies Club Call Time: 10:30 AM. Performance Time: Sometime between 11-11:30 AM. Estimated finish time: 12:30 PM. Parents are allowed to come watch (you just have to email me first so that they can reserve seats for you in the back). This event takes place at  6360 South Mountain Blvd in the Solera Chandler Development. You will drive through security and to the clubhouse where our event takes place. From there, a Strolling strings member or myself will lead you to our warm up room. Cookies and refreshments are provided for the students, but there will not be a full lunch. I advise students to eat before they come. Thank you.

Wednesday, December 5th-Strolling Strings Performance for Toybox Preschool-2nd Hour
Thursday, December 6th-Gilbert Rotary Club Performance-Call Time: 6:40 AM-Transportation provided by school-more details will be sent home at a later date.

Friday, December 7th-Mariposa Point Assisted Living Facility (across the street from CVHS) performance from 3:30 PM-4:15 PM. Call Time is 3:10 PM to allow time to set up/tune.

Saturday, December 8th-Spectrum HOA Performance at their Holiday event @ Spectrum Community Center Time TBD, but keep 5-9 PM available-it will sometime during that time window.

Dress expectations for ALL GIGS are Green Strolling Uniforms.

The only exception is the Toybox Preschool Gig during school hours-students should wear jeans (without holes) and their Strolling T-Shirts.
