Good morning,
This week and next week are busy weeks for our students here in Orchestra.
A few reminders:
Our “Fall Festival Celebration Concert” will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd at 7 PM. Doors will open for guests at 6:30 PM. Admission is FREE. Please invite your friends and family. The students have worked so hard this quarter and sound stellar! Student call time is 6:15 PM. Please make sure that your child arrives at 6:15 PM to give them adequate time to tune and warm up before their performance. I’ve attached a flyer to this email. Please help us spread the word and advertise for our concert.
Additionally, Concert, Chamber, and Symphonic Strings will all be performing at our ABODA Fall Orchestra Festival held here at Campo Verde High School. Please refer to the times below as to when your child will be finished with their performance. Parents are welcome to attend and I have included the performance time for this reason. If you would like to attend, please enter the auditorium quietly and only at times that our student lobby workers allow you to, as to not disrupt the festival. Thank you for your understanding with this.
Chamber Orchestra ABODA Festival Time: 1:45-3:30 with a PERFORMANCE time of 2:30 PM.
Concert Orchestra ABODA Festival Time: 12:15-2:00 with a PERFORMANCE time of 1:00 PM.
Symphonic Strings ABODA Festival Time: 3:15-5:30 with a PERFORMANCE time of 4:00 PM.
The ABODA Festival Performance counts as a concert grade. Students are expected to either come to school fully dressed in their concert uniforms or dress into their uniforms during lunch/on their own time. Concert uniforms need to be worn for Friday’s performance and Tuesday’s performance. Part of their concert grade is correct concert uniforms being worn.
Uniforms are as follows:
